Documentation

Hi everyone,

It seems as though some of our latest documentation may be a bit dated. For example, the requisition page says to “go to http://localhost:8080/?access_token= to see the service name and version.” Even without port 8080, I don’t think this works any more. Nor do most other URLs given on the page.

I’m sorry if I’m missing something simple, and would appreciate the group’s feedback.

Kind regards,

Ben

Thanks Ben,

That is clearly stale. I think the Quick Start section should be overhauled to something more like:

  • keep steps 1 (all three of them) through 3
  • remove steps 4 and onward
  • add a new step 4 which links to running the service in openlmis-ref-distro
How does that sound to everyone?

Ben, keeping to the spirit of open source I think a pull-request would be appreciated here. Re-write the quick start to what you find useful and what you think others will find useful, commit to a branch and issue a GitHub pull request. The contribution guide lays out the general steps.

Best,

Josh
