Need help understanding why the gradle "lesswatch" task doesn't complete

Hi Everyone,

I have a demo virtual machine up and running. When I type “gradle run” it gets stuck at 97% while the “lesswatch” task waits for changes. I emailed Rich who noted that this was by design. Why is it this way? Is it fine for me to exit the task with Ctrl+C?

Thank you,

Craig

Hey Craig,

In the background are a couple things going. Jetty is running so you should be able to go to localhost:9091 and run the application. Less watch is also waiting for changes in the LESS files to provide more of a REPL type environment while working with styles.

You can of course kill it. If you’re looking to package for deployment, look at the gradle task: war

e.g. gradle clean setupdb setupExtensions seed build war

Best,
Josh
