OpenLMIS Study Tours- available now!

Dear all,

I am pleased to announce that the community is now accepting applications for OpenLMIS Study Tours!

Funding has been generously provided from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation subsidize Study Tours for Ministries of Health (MoH) staff and other stakeholders who are considering an OpenLMIS implementation or expanding upon an existing implementation. A Study Tour is trip hosted by an OpenLMIS Trusted Partner to visit an existing OpenLMIS implementation, to provide participants with valuable information about how the software is deployed and operationalized. A Study Tour would provide the participants with an opportunity to gain unique insights from local supply chain and technology stakeholders, with a view to then apply these lessons learned in their home country. We hope that the launch of Study Tours will create an enabling environment for OpenLMIS adoption/upgrades in new geographies.

Further details about the process and the Study Tour applications are now available on the OpenLMIS website at http://openlmis.org/study-tours/

What now? We are eager to begin offering these tours and are depending on our community, particularly our Trusted Partners, to connect with countries or organizations who are considering OpenLMIS deployment and might be a good candidate for a study tour. Feel free to reach out to me at any time with suggestions for study tour candidates or to talk in more detail about the process.

Thanks again to all who helped provide feedback and review to get this process off the ground!

Kind regards,
Rebecca Alban
